AUGUST 20 2013 FLIGHTS CANCELLED

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Some flights were cancelled Tuesday, August 20, due to torrential rains brought by Tropical Storm Maring (international name: Trami) and the southwest monsoon.
State weather bureau Pagasa again issued a red rainfall alert for Metro Manila, where government offices and schools remained closed. The red alert means "serious flooding" is likely in low-lying areas, and more than 3 centimeters (1.8 inches) of rain is expected every hour.

Tiger Air also announced in an advisory that all its Manila outbound flights were cancelled "until further notice."
Charges waived
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific waived rebooking fees for passengers who failed to take their flights due to bad weather today.
The airlines announced in advisories that passengers can rebook free of charge within 30 days from original flight dates.
Tiger Air said it would issue refunds to passengers affected by flight cancellations.
